- Teen Reads Podcast – North Vancouver City Library presents Teen Reads, a podcast featuring conversations and debates between young readers about genres catching their attention, the authors on their TBR list and the must-reads defining their generation. - DNV Youth Action Grants – The District of North Vancouver is providing a limited funding opportunity for youth to take meaningful actions that improve physical and digital spaces across the North Shore. - Youth Wellness Conference: Tools for Tomorrow – The District of West Vancouver and partners are hosting a wellness conference for youth (grades 8-12) on Saturday, February 21 from 1:00pm-6:00pm. The conference takes place at West Vancouver Community Centre and will feature activities, conversations, and practical tools to support mental wellness and resilience. A free lunch as well as snacks, prizes, and volunteer hours will be provided. - Together for Literacy Raise a Reader Funds – Together for Literacy! North Vancouver is currently accepting applications for Raise a Reader funds, designed to support children in learning to read. Funds can be used for programs directly related to children’s reading skills, or for programs that support caregivers, families and professionals in teaching children to read. Applications will be assessed based on their applicability to the program, relevancy to North Vancouver, and how well the program will address literacy gaps. - 2026 WorkSafe BC Student Safety Video Contest – Worksafe has launched their 2026 student video contest for youth (grade 8-12). The contest is open until Thursday, April 2. To enter, see http://www.worksafebc.com/studentvideocontest.
- The Spot – Youth Friendly North Shore presents a new late-night, safe space for North Shore teens, taking place in different neighbourhoods across the North Shore until March 2026. For more information or to register for events, see https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/the-spot-4797907.
- Rising Voices – North Shore Women’s Centre presents a free 10-week empowerment program for girls and gender-diverse youth (age 11-13) to promote confidence and leadership skills. - Power In Connection – North Shore Women’s Centre presents a free 10-week group aiming to empower girls and gender-diverse youth (age 14-18) towards self discovery and career exploration. - Neurodivergent Youth Empowerment Program – North Shore Women’s Centre presents a free 10-week program for girls and gender-diverse youth (age 11-13) to find community, make connections, and have important discussions about experiences with neurodivergence (no diagnosis required). - Post-Secondary Information Workshop – Foundry North Shore presents a free in-person workshop for youth (age 15-24) looking to attend post-secondary school on Thursday, February 26 from 2:00pm-4:30pm. The workshop will break down the basics, discuss accessibility services, financial aid information, and students will share lived experiences. To register, contact [email protected].
- “Skids” Documentary Screening – Foundry North Shore presents a free film screening for parents and caregivers of youth (age 12-24) who reside on the North Shore. The film features at-risk youth attending an alternate school and reflects how labels can shape a young person’s identity and behavior. The screening takes place at Foundry North Shore on Friday, March 6 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. To register, contact [email protected].
- SMART Recovery – Foundry North Shore presents online workshops for parents and caregivers of youth (age 12-24) struggling with substance use. Workshops take place Thursdays from 6:00pm-7:00pm via Zoom. To register, contact [email protected]

- NVCL Youth Drop-In – The Room on the 2nd Floor of North Vancouver City Library is reserved for youth (grade 7-12) Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm-6:00pm and Friday from 3:00pm-5:00pm to hang out with friends, complete homework, read, use computers, etc. Registration is not required. - West Van Youth Drop-In Programs – West Vancouver Youth Services offers a number of drop-in opportunities for youth (grade 6-12) from Monday-Saturday. - Parkgate Youth Centre – Weekly free drop-in programs and services for youth in grades 5-12. Our Youth Centre is a fun and inclusive place with themes and activities to encourage youth to try new things while enjoying a positive environment with other youth their age. Our Youth Program is run by welcoming staff who are trained to work with youth from various backgrounds and abilities. - Foundry Drop-in Counselling – Foundry North Shore offers drop-in counselling for youth (age 12-24) seeking non-urgent mental health support; caregivers are welcome. - Foundry Substance Use Counselling (MHSU) – Foundry North Shore offers voluntary, confidential, free, counselling and team-based care for youth (age 12-24) struggling with problematic substance use. - Foundry Drop-in Primary Care – Foundry North Shore offers drop-in primary care for medical and sexual health Monday-Friday from 2:30pm-4:30pm. For more information, see https://foundrybc.ca/northshore/.
- Fearless: Youth Empowering Programming – North Shore Women’s Centre presents expanded youth program with a vision to become a “girls hub” for female-identifying and gender diverse youth. For more information, see https://www.northshorewomen.ca/fearless.
- Wired 4 Success – Hollyburn Community Services Society offers an ongoing 13 week program designed for youth (age 16-30) with barriers to employment. This program offers individualized planning, financial support, work experience and education encouraging youth to secure employment in their field of interest. - Empowerment – Capilano Community Services presents a community support group for female-identifying, non-binary and trans youth (age 16-24). - North Shore PACT – The CMHA has launched a civilian-led team that will respond to crisis calls related to mental health and substance use on the North Shore. Youth (age 13+) can receive over the phone or in-person help with a range of mental health issues.
