Welcome to a new school year!

Your 2016/17 NVPAC Executives are:

The position of SECRETARY is still vacant.  Are you good at taking notes?  Are you organized? Consider helping us out, all parents of children in School District #44 are welcome.

SAVE THE DATES!
Our first meeting will be a Curriculum Panel Discussion, WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26 at the Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale, upper floor) 7pm-9pm.  If you can’t make it and you have questions around the new curriculum, please go to our website and submit them or email chair@northvanpac.org.  Come out to meet the new Superintendent, Mark Pearmain.   A panel of 6-8 teacher and teacher administrators will be there to answer our questions about the revised curriculum that has now been implemented in K-9 and is coming for 10-12.

We would like to meet and get to know our DPAC reps and Chairs so we are hosting a MEET & GREET, wine & cheese event at the upper floor of the Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale) on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16 at 7pm.  Please RSVP via https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/nvpac-meet-greet-registration-28535587711 by NOVEMBER 9.

BCCPAC MEMBERSHIP
NVPAC is pleased to once again pay BCCPAC membership fees for all of our members who register by NOVEMBER 1.  Under the payment option, let them know your DPAC will be paying your fees.  Save $75 and have a voice at the provincial level!  More benefits of BCCPAC membership  http://bccpac.bc.ca/memberships

SCHOOL DISTRICT #44 COMMITTEES
There are a number of committees that we work with the School District on, as parent representatives.  Capital Planning, Communications, Education Week, Emergency Preparedness, Inclusion, Information & Communication Advisory, Policy Review, Safe & Caring Schools, School Cleanliness, Calendar.  Please let your parent population know and connect us with any parents who are passionate about any of it!  We represent all parents and do our best to bring as much diverse parent input as we can to these meetings.
