Emergencies can happen when we least expect them, and often when household members are not together. Suddenly, you need to think about their whereabouts. If you have children in school or elderly parents across town, you will want a plan in place to connect and know they are safe. If phones don't work, or some neighbourhoods aren't accessible, what will you do?

Canyon Heights PAC presents:
Jesse Miller "Social Media, Connected Children, Parenting the Mobile Device Child" Presentation”

 Monday January 11th, 2016 @ 7:00pm - Canyon Heights School

Admission is by donation at the door - we're hoping to see great numbers of parents out!

An interactive and visual presentation designed to help parents understand where the social media and tech concerns exist in our connected community.

A 'must-see' presentation for parents who would like to pro-actively examine the challenges of social media, explore the reasons behind the concerns around social media, and to help prompt dialogue at home that fits each family's values.

This presentation will provide parents with:

  • the tools needed to better equip themselves for parenting in the social media generation,
  • ways to help extend the dialogue to reflect technology influences at home, as well as
  • address current trends in social media use within British Columbia.
