NVPAC ANNUAL
REPORT 2020/2021

PAC Events & Programs
Process & Guidelines in planning for a regular return for the 2021/2022 school year, there have been many questions, particularly around the process for PAC events and PAC initiated after school programs, and accompanying Supervision, Liability and Fees related to all such programs.
To provide some clarity, Facilities & Planning has created the attached flowchart to guide both schools and PACs in planning for the upcoming year. In addition, some guidelines have been established to clarify custodial requirements for all types of events.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Mental Health                                                 in schools and at home

A continuum of Social Emotional Learning is integral to student well-being and development. The continuum includes an intentional focus on creating a sense of belonging for students, the teaching of social emotional skills, teaching mental health literacy and strategies, and an working towards an integrated approach to mental health with our community partners. Each area of SEL and Mental Health support is beneficial on its own, but the development of strategic action across the continuum provides a comprehensive focus and best meets the needs of all students. More information may be found on the District website.

PAC & School funded projects - School District guidelineS

PACs and schools fund many projects to support their schools. The NVSD has developed a list of some of the most common PAC and school funded projects, along with guidance on how to successfully undertake these projects.  Check it out here.
