The above document contains a reference to School Planning Councils which since 2015, are no longer in effect.  The North Vancouver School District is currently working on a Planning and Development process established under the Ministry of Education's newly-introduced Enhancing Student Learning Framework.

​CASL (Canadian Anti Spam Legislation)
Canadian Anti Spam Legislation applies to PACs and affects how PACs can communicate with their members.  PAC Executive should familiarize themselves with the legislation.  Please click the link in the title to see the wording of the legislation and for further information see the links below.  NVPAC's Communication Guidelines were prepared with CASL in mind.

"OLD" Society Act
This is a link to the old Society Act which is effect until November 27, 2016.

"NEW" Societies Act
The new Societies Act comes into effect November 28, 2016 and organizations such as PACs will have two years, until November 28, 2018 to transition.  A presentation on the new
 Societies Act and how the changes will affect your PAC (i.e. constitution and bylaw changes, etc) by Bryan Millman of the Bull Housser Law Firm is below.​
