VCH, NVSD and NVPAC Host the April 18th “Foods That Fit” Event

This free, interactive workshop is designed for parents, teachers and principals from all North Shore schools. In the first hour (5:00-6:15), participants will sample menu items that “fit” the Guidelines for Food and Beverage Sales in BC Schools. During the two-hour workshop beginning at 6:15, a panel of speakers will lead a discussion about ways to promote healthy eating at school by engaging students, educators, parents, and others in the community. Come hear about planning healthier fundraisers, creating a healthier food culture, connecting school gardens to healthy eating, and engaging families in planning healthy meals and snacks.
